Salix Project Description

Small but mighty! This backyard packs a punch in limited space. With an existing covered deck and steep incline at the back of the property, there was little room for errors and every inch was precious. The end result is a fantastic space that integrates seamlessly with the deck to relax or entertain just steps from the door.

A new retaining wall along the back of the property keeps the existing cedars intact, creating a dedicated raised bed and freeing up a bit more space for the pool deck. Large format slab pavers paired with natural stone coping add a bit of contrast and impart a contemporary, clean look. The pool itself is a state-of-the-art fiberglass shell made in Canada with eco-friendly practices and uses a chlorination system. The pool equipment location was determined by the site constraints, to reduce its visual impact a small privacy fence was included. This provides a backdrop to the surrounding garden while still allowing easy access to all components for maintenance.
